Candidate Success Stories

James' story

A school was wary of employing James for a last-minute temporary position teaching year six children because they were not familiar with him.

After our team persuaded the school to employ James he quickly wowed them with his student rapport and professionalism in the classroom.

James was originally a secondary-trained teacher and wanted to develop his skills as a primary teacher. As a result, he decided to undertake a "Secondary to Primary" conversion course, which involved travelling from Newton Abbot to North Wales once a week. He managed to complete it and returned to the school on a nine-week assignment to teach the year-six students ahead of their SATs.

Annie’s story

When Annie registered with Pro Education, she was working in a local Gastro Pub as a waitress. However, she was very qualified and had not been able to secure a teaching post. Our regional consultant for Dorset set about contacting local schools about Annie's situation.

With her qualifications to teach maths and biology up to KS4, we managed to secure a position for her as a maths teacher. The school was so impressed with her that they have kept her for the last three years.

Michael’s story

Michael had been working in the independent sector for a number of years before registering with Pro Education. We took the time to talk to Michael about exactly what he was after and how his skill set could serve him best going forward.

Michael was, unfortunately, booked out through another agency, but within one week he called us and asked if we would represent him because the other agency was less concerned about his wishes and more concerned about making money from him.

While we are a business, we are committed to placing people above profits. We always work alongside our teachers and client schools to achieve the best possible outcomes for all.

Tamar's story

Tamar worked in a pub but wanted a career in education. We gave her some advice on how she could gain a Teaching Assistant qualification and spoke to one of our client schools we knew would be happy to help.

The school said they would give Tamar an opportunity to gain some experience whilst she studied for her qualification. Tamar qualified with a Level 3 Award as a Teaching Assistant, achieving a higher distinction! We quickly secured her a job at a local school working in their after-school club.

Tamar is thrilled that she has a career in teaching.
